Marcasite Styles

Marcasite is actually the name of a mineral whose origins are steeped in sedimentary rocks that are invaded by super heated liquids from the core of the earth. The Marcasite name ancestry stems from the arabic term for pyrite, "markaschatsa", which is an iron sulphide mineral and is closely associated with another mineral in appearance and chemical composition called pyrite. Often, the two minerals are used interchangeably in jewelry making. A few top selling items from the marcasite jewelry collection are:

  • Examples of marcasite pendants with stones such as MPN-26, MPN-81, and the cross pendant MPN-84
  • MER-107 marcasite earrings comprised of marcasite stones and silver hoop earrings
